ASCPT Awards

Each year, ASCPT's Scientific Awards program seeks to recognize outstanding science in clinical pharmacology. ASCPT Awards span the continuum of clinical pharmacology from discovery to utilization and recognize every turning point in the career path from young investigator to seasoned scientist.

The 2010 Awards nominations site is now open. The deadline to submit your nomination is September 25, 2009. Submit Now

We encourage all members to participate in this important process. If you have any questions about any of the awards or nomination procedures, please contact meetings@ascpt.org.

Oscar B. Hunter Memorial Award in Therapeutics recognizes an individual scientist for outstanding contributions to clinical pharmacology and therapeutics throughout his/her professional career.

Rawls-Palmer Progress in Medicine Award recognizes a clinical pharmacologist for significant contributions to drug investigation that incorporate the efforts of modern drug research in the care of patients.

William B. Abrams Award in Geriatric Clinical Pharmacology recognizes a young investigator for outstanding contributions in the field of geriatric clinical pharmacology.

Gary Neil Prize for Innovation in Drug Development recognizes an outstanding individual or team who have been leaders in the application of significant, innovative science to clinical drug development.

Henry W. Elliott Distinguished Service Award recognizes an ASCPT member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to the organization.

Leon I. Goldberg Young Investigator Award recognizes young scientists active in the field of clinical pharmacology.

At the discretion of the Scientific Awards Selection Task Force and with majority support of its members an award nominee may be repurposed to a different award.

Other Awards

ASCPT Young Investigator Award
The Young Investigator Award is intended to support a fellow in clinical pharmacology or related field who is engaged in clinical/translational research. The Grant is for a one year period from July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009.
